Judge Moreno issued an order
today in the consolidated Subscriber Track Managed Care Cases before him in the
Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The plaintiffs in
In Re Managed Care are seeking class certification for all similarly situated
HMO subscribers. Today’s order was in response to an earlier motion and has been
viewed by many as allowing the action to go forward as modified. Providers are
awaiting a response to the January 9, 2002 hearing before the Eleventh Court of
Appeals panel concerning various issues in the Provider Track cases that are
also consolidated before Judge Moreno.
