American Medical News (“Amednews”) has published an in-depth article that provides a detailed discussion of the recent decision by the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in In Re Managed Care. The article addresses the RICO action and includes comments by Dr. John Whitelaw, President of the CMA, Dr. Tom Hancher, President of the Texas Medical Association, as well as lead counsel for the plaintiff physicians, Archie C. April 15, 2002---Florida Medical Association Endorses Managed Care Survey
 
 The Florida Medical Association (“FMA”) has endorsed an on-line data collection survey titled “ProMD.” The on-line service has been designed by physicians for physicians to allow for effective and detailed data collection related to HMO experiences. The stated purpose of the site and the survey is to provide physicians a voice backed up by empirical data in the on-going effort to level the playing field with managed care organizations.
